The Evening Pour

THE GLASSWING

A refined riff on the classic Old Fashioned, with a touch of elegance and depth. Smooth bourbon, subtle cacao warmth, and an orange blossom finish — masculine foundation with luxurious finesse.

RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Woodford Reserve Bourbon
  • ¼ oz (7 ml) dark crème de cacao (Tempus Fugit or Giffard)
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • 1 dash Orange bitters
  • 1 barspoon Demerara syrup

Method

  1. Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice.
  2. Stir for ~20 seconds until chilled and silky.
  3. Strain over a large clear ice cube in a rocks glass.

Garnish

  1. Express an orange peel and place on ice cube.
  2. Place 1 piece of purple butterfly sorrel on top of orange peel and ice cube.

HONEY VEIL MARTINI

A delicate, floral martini inspired by spring evenings — crisp, aromatic, and visually captivating. Think of it as a poetic counterpart to the Glasswing.

RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 1½ oz (45 ml) The Botanist Gin
  • ½ oz (15 ml) St-Germain elderflower liqueur
  • ½ oz (15 ml) dry vermouth (Dolin Dry or Mancino Secco)
  • ¼ oz (7 ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 2 drops orange blossom water

Method

  1. Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake gently (not too vigorously — you want a satin texture, not dilution).
  3. Double strain into a chilled coupe glass.

Garnish

  1. Float 1 piece of Micro Honeysuckle Flower on top.
  2. Float a small piece of Gold Leaf.
